Next week, at the IAA Motor Show in Munich, the world premiere of the new 2024 Volkswagen Passat will take place. The new generation model, created on the MQB Evo platform, will be presented exclusively in the wagon body.

The new Passat B9 has become significantly larger than its predecessor: its length is now 4,917 mm, which is 144 mm longer, the width has increased by 20 mm, and the wheelbase has increased by 50 mm. This provided additional space for passengers and increased the volume of the trunk to 1,920 liters with the rear seats folded.

The design of the novelty includes elements from the electric VW ID models, such as matrix LED headlights and dynamic taillights with a light strip. Wheels with a diameter of up to 19 inches are offered in various configurations: Passat, Business, Elegance, R-Line.

For the first time in history, the Passat offers a mild hybrid with a 1.5-liter eTSI engine with a capacity of 148 hp. Two gasoline versions with 2.0-liter TSI engines are also available: 201 hp. and 261 hp with four-wheel drive.

In addition, the Passat supports fast charging with a capacity of up to 50 kW, which allows you to charge the battery from 10 to 80% in just 25 minutes. The total mileage with a full tank and battery can reach up to 1000 km!
