this means that cars going by container are being a bit delayed due to the lack of drivers and container unavailability to be taken out of the port and then redelivered, They suggest port will re open tomorrow. we will let you know on this outcome when update is granted.

Please note that currently the east part of USA is facing a current strong snow storm which has caused many places to close down for safety. One of the places affected was the Bayonne port. It will re-open as soon as the snow storm clears. They have announced about 9 inches of snow in the following hours. Drivers delivering vehicles are running late and we have advised them to stay in a safe place until the snow clears to avoid any truck accident that may cause damage to your vehicles.

Please your patience at this time would be much appreciated in case our drivers deliver vehicles late or we are unable to retrieve same time information due to these places being closed.

Please note that a new environmental law put in place in California on January 1st will force auto haulers 2007 and older manufacture year to be adapted and have a special filter that will reduce truck smoke installed. Such adaptation may cost drivers around $10 000 to $ 15000.

Inland rates may go up depending on how this new law develops.

 Also please be aware there are delays in picking up vehicles for California.

Due to recent reports of missing keys on arrival in Tema, we strongly encourage you make a duplicate key before your vehicle is delivered to the port, and either send it to your consignee by courier service, or attach a magnetic hide-a-key to the undercarriage. We have had few incidents in where AuctionExport is not responsible for these to go missing, but we suggest you to take some precautions about this. In some cases we may be able to do so in some others we may not, but we can try.
